Minto Roof Leak: Part One

December 2013, less than one month after closing/moving in to our shiny new Ottawa area Minto built home. The really fun begins. My wife is taking a nap on the couch in our "family room" when she is awoken by the *plink* of water hitting her forehead. Fantastic! We have an undisclosed water feature in our house.

A call to Minto MasterCare results in a site visit after the leak, despite my urging no inspection for the source of the leak, and a quick patch job with the suggestions that it might've been a one-time occurrence.

Me, being the naive new homeowner, believes the Minto MasterCare representattive that all is fine. For the remainder of the Ottawa winter everything is... until...
